8 WAYS TO BECOME OCD’S WORST NIGHTMARE
Why: At least 1 in 200 kids and teens have OCD, about the same number of kids who have diabetes. Studies find that it takes an average of 14 to 17 years from the time OCD begins for people to obtain appropriate treatment.
Who: Shayla Parker, LCPC specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders with a focus on OCD and will be presenting information on how to identify OCD in junior high and high school age students, as well as providing strategies to help school counselors and educators assist students with OCD. A list of reputable resources will be provided for further reference.
When: Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Staff can stay longer to answer questions and provide further information.
